I'm focusing on my new band Redpath which features my two sisters and me. I have always loved country music and that's our style. It's been fun writing about whatever I want! There's so much freedom in that. For those of you reading, my sisters names are Torie and Ali. Torie has been singing professionally for the last 2 years. Ali is graduating from UW Eau Claire in December with an actuarial science degree. In January the three of us plan to put our efforts in to the band FULL TIME. This is so exciting for me because I've been working on a solo career for the last 4 years. Singing with my sisters is so much better than that! There's so much going on in my head right now and a lot is changing in my life. I'm sure I'll be venting a lot more.

I was able to stay really busy this month. I traveled to the Rocky Mountains and Seattle, WA. I started a new interim job at a church nearby and I've even had a little time off lately. My concerts out of state went very well. I led worship and performed at two youth events. Driving 16 miles up the mountains in Colorado was an amazing experience. My parents came along with 3 other band members. It was quite the trip for us. The Seattle trip was a lot shorter but just as fun. I attached a photo from downtown Seattle by the water. I'm getting ready to start booking for the year so I'm excited about that. I hope to have twice as much fun as last year!

Wow... this month was a long one. I have had over 25 performances so far! I'm so happy that Christmas Day is near. It is trecherous out right now. The snow won't stop falling. It's beautiful when you can watch it from your window. I'm happy I can stay in tonight. Tomorrow I will start the day with an interview at AM1500 Radio, I sing at 3 church services and then... FAMILY! I can't wait. "Songs of Christmas" did well this year. I LOVE Christmas time and love those Christmas carols.

Last night my family (sisters, parents, Joe, my Uncle Mike and Kurtis, a friend of Torie's) caroled at Regions Hospital. It was magical. Our friend Kriss, who works at the hospital sets this up for us... 3 years in a row now! It's the most rewarding "gig". Sometimes I just don't realize what I've been blessed with. Good health for one! Last night put it all in perspective for me. This year I'm focusing on family as we celebrate Jesus together!

Thank you very much for supporting me in the Wild competition. Your loyalty means so much to me; I wouldn't have made it this far without your help. It's a great feeling to know that I have so many people backing me up! Unfortunately, I didn't get the position I was hoping for, but I am planning to fill in for Sarah when I am available. I still have a lot to look forward to. I've got a brand new, full-length Christmas CD coming out this November! I thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your love and endless support!

Well, my part of the audition is over. Last night was a blast. One of my dreams came true. I've always wanted to sing in the Xcel Energy Center and last night that dream became reality for me! My family and some close friends were there. THANK YOU for your support. I felt I gave my best last night. The Wild fans were great. I had some great feedback too. We'll just have to see what happens :)

I'm back in the studio now recording the new Christmas CD. Look for it at the end of October.

Life right now

I wrote a song with my sister tonight. It's the first one we've done together. I really like the vibe and direction. It's a personal story about a man in my life who once tried to change me and make me what he wanted me to be. This song is about standing up for yourself and for what you believe in. It's called "Never Give Up The Fight". My sister really contributed a lot to this song!! I think it's so cool that we can write together now. I hope this one makes my next CD.

Life can be so confusing sometimes. You just never know what's going to happen. I guess that you just have to trust that things will work out. I know God's working behind the scenes for me even when it doesn't feel like it! I love you God!

I really hope whoever's reading this is smiling right now :)

I'm in the final round towards becoming the next Minnesota Wild National anthem singer! THANK YOU all for your prayers! Please keep them coming. I sing the anthem September 18th @ 7:00PM at the Xcel for the first Wild preseason game. The FANS and PEOPLE get to vote to choose the winner. Home Sweet Home

Well I'm back! It's nice to be home. A little bit chilly but other than that everything is great! It was nice to drive my car again. I had a great meal with my family last night, although I missed my youngest sister. I went to bed last night at 10 and slept till 9. I was really tired. Today I've been getting my life organized again. Tonight I have a really important audition to become the MN Wild's next Anthem singer. Please pray for me around 6:45PM if you think of it. I really want to nail it.

Tonight was the last show of the tour. What a blast!! We had a lively crowd tonight. There was a wide variety of ages in the crowd. We got some of the fans up on stage to sing with me. That was my favorite part. I want to give a shout out to my girls from San Mar. I love you girls-Thanks for coming out. Special thanks to Warren, Steve, Phil, Jason, Wil, Elisa, Jeremy, The Herd family, Vladimir, Joelle and everyone at Highland View. I love you guys and can't wait to be back with you soon.

The Seventh-Day Adventist Church is amazing. Their teachings are grounded and biblical. I had the great privilege of leading worship in their church this morning before the concert. For anyone looking into Christianity, check out this church!

My flight leaves tomorrow at 8:45AM. Praying for safe travels... then the big audition on Monday!!! Go Wild. I'm hoping to advance to the top 3.

San Mar

Last night I visited the girls of San Mar in Boonsboro, MD. It was a Spirit-filled night! I performed a few songs and then we spent a good half hour hanging out and talking about life.

Spencerville School

Shepherdstown

Today on my second day off I went back to Shepherdstown, WV. I got my coffee at the Lost Dog Coffee Shop again for the 2nd time this trip. I think Shepherdstown is my favorite small town ever. It's really cute. The photo I attached to this message is the Potomac River. This town is kind of like Hudson, WI. It has some nice boutiques and restaurants. It's also a college town so there are a lot of people my age running around. There was a beautiful creek that ran behind some of the shops.

First show....A SUCCESS!!!!

Tonight was the first show for me on this tour. It went great! I was a little rough around the edges but I'm just getting warmed up!!!! Here I am with the band after the show. In order: LR, Jeremy Robinson, Jason Herd and Wil McLean.

Tonights show was sort of a coffee shop setting. There were sweets served, brownies and ice cream. YUM! We had a great turn out. A lot of people from this area came out. It's nice because each time I come out here more people come to the shows and we keep getting more shows!! WOOOHOOO. Things are going good and I'm winding down now and eating popcorn.

First LIVE guitar performance

I performed while playing the guitar for the first time a couple weeks ago at a show! It was an incredible feeling. Luckily I had an amazing guitarist with me to cover up all of my little errors. Thanks Joe!!! I opened up for Future Antiques, a great new electro-rock band from the Twin Cities.

Top 5 for National Anthem Competition

I found out this morning that I'm in the top 5, moving on to the next round!! This is so cool. I was on the Fox Sports Network tonight with the other finalists promoting the contest and the Wild Hockey Team. The FSN had a booth at the Minnesota State Fair tonight. My Mom and sisters came to support me. I have attached a photo of my two favorite girls in the world. My amazing mother did my hair tonight. She's such a doll and so very supportive of me.

I had some close friends and family praying for me and I want to give a shout out to them: Mom, Dad, Torie, Ali, John, Joey, Jodi, Kriss, Jen, Emily, Dana and Jason.

If you can, please keep me in your prayers. The next audition is September 10th for the coaches of the Wild team and the press. It's going to get more intense and I'm stepping it up for sure!

Minnesota Wild National Anthem Audition

Tonight I auditioned at the Xcel Energy Center to be the new MN Wild Hockey National Anthem singer! Tomorrow morning I'll find out if I move on to the next round of auditions. I was SO nervous but I tried to remain calm. I performed in the middle of the Xcel with 6-7 judges sitting in the stands!!! I'm so glad round 1 is over. I'm praying that I make the next round. It would be an amazing opportunity for me to get out there!!!!
